Meet Marissa McKool, MPH
The Public Health Burnout Coach
I know what it’s like to feel overwhelmed, exhausted, and stuck in burnout. In 2017, after a decade in public health, I hit my breaking point. My mom nearly died, I moved home to care for her, went through a breakup, and stepped into a leadership role that combined three jobs into one. I tried everything—exercise, therapy, sleep—but nothing helped. My health suffered, stress consumed me, and I felt like I was losing myself.
That’s when I found coaching, and it changed everything. I learned how to set boundaries, manage stress, and reclaim my time—without sacrificing my impact. I used those tools to help with the realities of public health leadership and had more energy, balance, and joy. Now, I’m here to help you do the same.
